St. Andrew's is Active in the Community

Group readingSummer Reading Camp at St. Andrew's - a program for McCall Elementary sudents who need special help in reading. Volunteers offer one-on-one tutoring to help students improve their reading skills. Camp activities are included in the fun. This program is offered at no cost to the students and is funded by grants and donations.

After-School Program - Games, snacks, exercise, reading and refleAfter School Visitction, offered to McCall elementary students. The goals of the program are: to build confidence and self-esteem, provide a non-critical environment for self-expression, and establish and encourage friendships, community, personal and social responsibility. Recent themes have been "Harry Potter" and "Narnia".

Soup & Scripture - during the school year for high school students. An average of a dozen or more students attend every Wednesday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and enjoy a hearty lunch ans a 5-minute Christ-centered message. St. Andrew's shares responsibility for food and labor with four other churches.

Food Bank - donations are gathered at St. Andrew's and other local churches and taken to a central location. In operation almost 7 years, the Bank feeds upwards of 300 people in the community weekly.
